WILLIAMSBURG -- On Nov. 18, students, workers, faculty, and community members will gather on the Sadler Center Terrace for its own "Rally to Restore Sanity" at William & Mary.

The rally, which borrows its name from comedian Jon Stewart's recent event in Washington, is part of a national week of action held by United Students Against Sweatshops. According to a press release, students and workers across the country plan to "stand up against the insanity of poverty and worker intimidation on their campuses."

The rally will be the final event in a week of smaller actions by the Living Wage Coalition. The rally will feature speakers from the community, including a professor, a worker, a law student, a religious leader, and an unannouced keynote speaker.

Following the rally, participants will march to the office of President Taylor Reveley with a demand that the administration commit to finding creative solutions to implementing living wages for all William & Mary workers.
