Faith leaders across New York City have united to assist in organized labor's fight for living wage - a battle that has already been waged successfully in a handful of cities across the nation. On Thursday, May 12th, Rev. Peter G. Heltzel, Rev. Anita Burson and dozens of other people of faith rallied outside city hall, to urge the city council to pass a bill that would require developers who receive government subsidies to pay workers $10 an hour with benefits, or $11.50 an hour without benefits. "The faith leaders are the most important to the success of this campaign," Heltzel says.
